Quick Notes from the Beach
We arrived Friday afternoon and met about every dog in Rehoboth. O is both fascinated and scared by these creatures. We played on the beach — wondering how I could forget a ball and a bucket/shovel combo. Sadly, Funland (home to Skee Ball) was still closed for the winter, so I was not able to win stuffed animals for my little one.
We ate dinner at an IHOP if you can believe that. Our idea of a good restaurant now is one that provides crayons.
Saturday took us to the Lewes-Cape May ferry. We’d meant to visit Cape Henlopen, saw the ferry was in and took a detour to show O the boat. She digs transporation.
After napville, we were back at the beach for more dogs and digging with a new shovel and bucket.
Today, we had to clean up the house. While the machines did their work, we took a hike in a nearby park and saw about a dozen greyhounds. Rehoboth is dogville.
Gotta run. We’re off to a Rock and Romp (indie rock music concert with children) with Georgie James and The Cassettes. It’s fun and chaotic and takes place in the Spanish ballroom at Glen Echo Park.
More tomorrow!
