Enticing Packages and Good News
Usually, the mail contains those sales circulars that immediately fall apart in your hands, because the paper is unstapled and slippery. In other words, it’s terrible mail.
I came home from Charlottesville to see several packages that were lumpy in all the right places. Books!
Package 1: The tinysides I ordered! Thank you to Sandra Beasley for pointing these out. Hers is among the ones included.
Package 2: A book of poems by Julianna Baggott I could use in a creativity course I’m teaching for David Vincenti in New Jersey in May.
Package 3: A note saying I was the finalist in the A. Poulin Poetry Prize from BOA Editions. Dan Albergotti beat me out. Is it only in the poetry world that we’d be happy about being almost #1?
